Beverly braces for chaos when her mother is diagnosed with dementia and moves in with her and her husband. But when her daughter Emma, a non-speaking autistic teenager, crashes back into her life, Beverly must confront her past mistakes and work to repair the bonds of trust and family. In this original musical, Emma is able to share her experiences and inner thoughts with the audience through song and her unique gift of synesthesia.

“Like mental health, autism has rarely if ever been handled particularly well (or at all?) by musical theatre as a genre, but Indigo might just shift that trajectory. Director Catie Davis clearly understands how modern intimate musicals pace and the staging is remarkably swift. Indigo is a show to keep your eyes long after it leaves Dayton.”  – David Brush, League of Cincinnati Theatres
